Welcome to the Barony of Silver Rock

Silver Rock History

The origins of Silver Rock are shrouded in Mystery. Historians and scholars alike are working to figure out its past.

What has been uncovered is that Silver Rock's sudden appearance in the lands marks the end of a 250-year curse on the barony placed by Vasari, Immortal of Time and Keeper of the histories of Terris. The previous Baron, a powerful sorcerer and enchanter, sought to circumvent the ravages of aging. Through magical experimentation, he discovered a way to trap time within stone and built a keep out of the shimmery rocks this process created.

He believed living in such a keep would render him immune to the aging effects of time. He was wrong. His experimental methods merely kept the stones he enchanted from aging. However, his efforts drew the wrath of Vasari, who banished his Barony from time for 250 years and erased all mortal records of his existence.

What happened after that is unknown and unrecorded. However, since Silver Rock's return and Darden's attempts to renovate it, there have been mysterious invasions of undead creatures through a magical portal appearing in the barony's library.

The portal finally gave way and the legions of the undead poured into the lands. When this was discovered the then Chancellor of Silver Rock Shy, called out for help from those within calling, many an adventurer answered the call and after a tremendous battle Shy calling upon the Immortals help managed to seal it with a spell.

The Immortal of Light, Elaina watching over the adventurers decided that it was time Silver Rock had a new Baron and so asked Shy if she was willing to take up that mantle, Shy accepted and was proclaimed Baroness of Silver Rock that very day.

As for the portal it is now sealed with a strange device which, if ye have the right item may let you pass into the dungeons below, be careful though, because many an adventurer has entered that portal but not all return.
